Register to access Botswana Police eServices securely

How your information is used

  • Your details are processed by the Botswana Police Service (Police Headquarters, Gaborone) to create your account and verify your identity, as required to deliver the services you request. A live photo check (selfie) is not part of registration — you will be asked for it, and for your separate consent to it, from your profile before you can submit an application.
  • During registration your ID or passport details are checked with the Omang Verification Service and the 1Gov platform, and your contact details are used to send verification codes.
  • Fields marked * are required — without them we cannot verify your identity or create your account. Everything else is voluntary.
  • You can access, correct and request deletion of your data, and withdraw consent. See the Privacy Policy and Your Data Rights.

Information that leaves Botswana

Two services behind this Portal operate outside Botswana. Resend (United States) sends the email we address to you, including one-time codes that verify your account, and receives your email address and message content. PayGate / DPO Group (South Africa) processes any card payment you choose to make and receives the payment reference, amount and payer identity — your card details go to PayGate directly, never through the Portal. No adequacy decision has been published under section 75 of the Data Protection Act, 2024 for either country, and as a public authority BPS cannot rely on the consent or contract exceptions in section 78 (section 78(3)). The safeguard being put in place is Commission-authorised contractual clauses — application in progress; the Data Protection Officer can tell you where that stands. There is no other transfer we have identified; the hosting country of one traffic-fine payment gateway is being established and this notice will be updated when it is. You can withdraw this consent at any time under Profile → Privacy & Data; withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out (s.28(3)).
